Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is hiring a CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care and daily living assistance at our Elkhart location. You will support residents to maintain independence and participate in community activities, with emphasis on compassionate, respectful care.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and reliability, with duties including ADL support, documentation, and activity planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current CNA license from the state where the community is located and remain in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written, is required.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Team member who follows supervisor instructions and is polite with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and meals.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance and emergencies; follow up as needed.
• Maintain daily logs and document resident status and changes.
• Support activity programs and plan activities with residents.
• Move residents safely and assist with transfers and transportation as required.
• Communicate clearly with staff and family members about care and status.
