Phoenix Senior Living in Decatur, Alabama, is hiring a Resident Care Associate (CNA) to join our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. Mon-Fri shifts with every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred and may be required by the state.
• Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of the Personalized Service Plans and updates; attends service plan review meetings with families as requested.
• Follows the hydration schedule established for the residents during the shift.
• Completes resident meal attendance sheets and provides room service if needed.
• Knows and complies with all resident rights.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Checks residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence issues and condition changes.
• Uses proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Checks on assigned resident rooms daily for cleanliness and safety.
• Assists with conducting laundry rooms and common areas; schools safety and security checks.
• Completes all ADLs for assigned residents per PSP.
• Responds promptly to security system and resident call bells.
