Monastery Heights Senior Living and Memory Care in West Springfield, MA, is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to support daily staffing operations and hands-on resident care. This role helps ensure coverage, smooth office operations, and high-quality, resident-centered care.

The position requires high school diploma or GED; CNA/HHA certification is preferred. Flexible hours to include weekends and holidays may be required.

Position Overview

Resident Care Assistant (RCA) supports daily staffing operations, administrative functions, and provides hands‑on resident care as needed. This role is essential to ensuring proper staffing coverage, smooth office operations, and high-quality, resident‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care Assistant (RCA) Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing to nursing leadership staff

• Promote resident dignity, independence, and person‑centered care

• Follow service plans, safety procedures, and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• RCA, HHA, CNA, or equivalent experience preferred (must be certified CNA or HHA)

• Previous experience in assisted living, memory care not required but preferred

• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

• Reliable, professional, and compassionate

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the shift

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
