Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks qualified CNA, QMT, EMT, Combat Medics to join our night shift at LaPorte County Jail. You will administer medications, assist with sick calls, and coordinate with medical staff to respond to emergencies.

Active CPR certification and at least 6 months in the medical field are required; EMT/QMA/CMA certification is highly preferred. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the medical field.
• EMT, QMA, or CMA certification highly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of lifting upto 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration.
• Assisting in sick call using medical protocols.
• Communicating with the facility or on-call Medical Provider.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Be capable of performing life saving measures and take charge in an emergency.
• Collect laboratory specimens, as needed.
• Follow the “Rules of 100” and provide patient care as specified.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in patient charts.

Location: LaPorte County Jail

Shift Opening(s): 6 PM to 6 AM, 3 days per week with every other weekend rotation
Requirements:

• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
