Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital - Davis in Layton, UT seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, following policies to support patient-centered care.

You will perform essential patient care tasks, assist nursing staff, document vital signs and care activities, and participate in a collaborative team focused on professional development and delivering high-quality care at the top of your license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
• State registered CNA license required.
• Six months CNA or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.
• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.

Pay Range

$17.00 - $23.82 /hour
