Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver direct and indirect nursing care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, aligned with hospital policies to support patient-centered care.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, with opportunities for professional development and career growth while practicing at the top of your license in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant program.
• State-registered CNA license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care including comfort, hygiene, safety, transport, and nutrition/elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs.
• Reports patient status changes to the Registered Nurse promptly.
• Documents vital signs, input/output, nutrition, hygiene, weights, and other care performed; reports findings to the RN.
• Maintains confidential patient charts and records.
• Assists with delegated patient care tasks under nurse supervision.
• Delivers person-centered care with respect for the patient, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors to the health care team.

Education

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.

• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs.

• Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.

• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.

• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.

• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.

• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.

• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.

• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program

• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.

Pay Range

$17.00 – $23.82 /hour
