Job summary

North Haven High School is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program Instructor to lead our high school CNA instructional program. This part-time role focuses on preparing students for successful certification and careers in health care through thorough classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an active CT RN/BSN license with experience in nursing education, and will deliver a state-approved CNA curriculum, supervise clinical

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or BSN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred; CSDE endorsement or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a rigorous CNA curriculum covering healthcare fundamentals, patient care, safety, and ethics.
• Coordinate, oversee, and evaluate students during clinical rotations at partner facilities.
• Assess student progress through formal evaluations and state exam preparation.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive laboratory and classroom environment resembling clinical spaces.
• Ensure program compliance with CT CSDE and DPH regulations.
