Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a part-time CNA in Chester, VA to provide quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living. You will support residents to maintain independence, participate in activities, and document care as required.

The role requires a current CNA license in Virginia, strong communication, physical stamina, and flexibility to cover weekends/holidays. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and community events.
• Report incidents or concerns to the appropriate person and document accordingly.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, and dining spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist new residents with move‑in and provide emotional support.
• Maintain daily log of resident changes and interventions.
