Job summary

Alamo Hospice in Waco, TX is seeking a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate care team. This flexible role offers weekday and weekend shifts, 8a-5p, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

You will provide personal care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, report changes to the Case Manager, and maintain patient dignity with respect. Valid CNA certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• State-certified nurse aide with current credentials.
• CPR certification current and valid.
• Clear record on state aide registry to deliver patient care.
• Age 18 or older as required by state law.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and shop as needed.
• Assist in feeding the patient and monitoring intake.
• Observe and report skin condition to prevent breakdown.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Case Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Maintains a current CPR Certification
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirement.
