Job summary

Masonicare at Home is seeking Private Duty Caregivers to provide non-medical personal and companion care across Connecticut, including Shelton. This Per Diem/Hourly role offers day shifts (3–12 hours) and overnight options (8a–8p or 8p–8a). You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and engaged in daily activities.

We train and may pay for CNA certification, with opportunities for live-in or hourly live-out work and a supportive team across Masonicare facilities statewide.

Qualifications

• Duties align with non-medical home care and companionship.
• Familiar with light housekeeping, meal prep, and activity planning.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to train for CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide conversation and companionship.
• Perform light housekeeping and linen changes.
• Assist with meal preparation and errands.
• Give medication reminders and coordinate with families.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and transfers as needed.
• Accompany or drive clients to appointments and activities.
• Support clients with exercise and mobility within home.

Masonicare at Home is Masonicare's non-medical homecare agency. We are currently hiring private caregivers and homemakers for live-in OR hourly live-out work throughout the state. Our hourly services require a 3 hour minimum. Many of our clients are located in Masonicare facilities throughout the state of CT (Wallingford, Mystic, and Chester – AND COMING SOON Shelton, Farmington, and Newington!!). Community based clients are available as well.Caregivers assist in a variety of ways to keep clients safe, entertained, and active at home. Duties may include:

• Conversation and general companionship
• Light Housekeeping
• Changing bed and bath linens
• Laundry
• Meal Prep
• Running errands
• Medication reminders
• Assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, mail
• Recreation: reading, games, crafts, outdoor/indoor walks, etc.
• Drive or accompany client to appointments: doctor, hair salon, nail salon, etc.
• Bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.
• Toileting and incontinence Care
• Assisting with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities
