Job summary

Masonicare at Home is hiring Private Duty Caregivers for day shift and hourly/home-based care across Connecticut. Positions offer both live-in or hourly live-out work with a 3-hour minimum for hourly services.

Training is provided, and they will pay for CNA certification. If you have reliable transportation and a willingness to learn, apply today to join a meaningful, community-based team across CT including Wallingford and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide conversation and companionship to clients.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Change bed and bath linens; assist with laundry.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Run errands and assist with appointments.
• Provide reminders for medications.
• Assist with communication: phone calls, scheduling, mail.
• Escort client to appointments and accompany to activities.
• Assist with personal care tasks as trained (bathing, dressing, hygiene).

Shifts available from 3hrs to 12hrs/day

There is no job more meaningful and rewarding than helping someone who cannot help themself. Masonicare at Home is Masonicare's non-medical homecare agency. We are currently hiring private caregivers and homemakers for live-in OR hourly live-out work throughout the state. Our hourly services require a 3 hour minimum. Many of our clients are located in Masonicare facilities throughout the state of CT (Wallingford, Mystic, and Chester – AND COMING SOON Shelton, Farmington, and Newington!!). Community based clients are available as well.

Caregivers assist in a variety of ways to keep clients safe, entertained, and active at home. Duties may include:

• Conversation and general companionship
• Light Housekeeping
• Changing bed and bath linens
• Laundry
• Meal Prep
• Running errands
• Medication reminders
• Assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, mail
• Recreation: reading, games, crafts, outdoor/indoor walks, etc.
• Drive or accompany client to appointments: doctor, hair salon, nail salon, etc.
• Bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.
• Toileting and incontinence Care
• Assisting with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities
