Southpoint Surgery Center in Durham, NC is a newly established ambulatory surgery center affiliated with North Carolina Specialty Hospital. The center focuses on high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical and related care across multiple specialties, with a welcoming, team-oriented environment.

Ideal candidates are certified nursing assistants with CNAI (CNA II preferred), BLS through AHA/ARC, and at least one year of hospital or ASC experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification.
• CNAI certification required; CNA II preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based or ambulatory surgery center experience.
• Experience with medical records and computer skills preferred.

Description

Southpoint Surgery Center (SPSC), an affiliate of North Carolina Specialty Hospital, is a new Ambulatory Surgery Center located between Raleigh and Durham in the Durham-Southpoint area. SPSC will provide a differentiated outpatient delivery model focused on providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for surgical and related ancillary care for patients. SPSC is a multi-specialty 22,298 sq. ft. facility accommodating the following: Ortho, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, General, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, Vascular, and Pain. Experience, Training & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with documented certification as a nursing assistant
• CNAI certification required; CNA II certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; certification must be through an AHA or ARC accredited course.
• At least one (1) year of previous experience in a hospital based or ambulatory surgical center
• Previous experience with medical records and computer skills preferred
