Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center is seeking a qualified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our ambulatory care team. The ideal candidate will hold CNAI certification with BLS from an AHA/ARC program and at least one year of hospital or ASC experience.

You will support patient care, handle basic medical records, and work with staff to ensure safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced setting. This role offers competitive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CNAI certification.
• CNA II certification preferred; BLS certification required.
• BLS certification through an AHA or ARC accredited course is required.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based or ambulatory surgical center experience.
• Experience with medical records and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Southpoint Surgery Center (SPSC), an affiliate of North Carolina Specialty Hospital, is a new Ambulatory Surgery Center located between Raleigh and Durham in the Durham-Southpoint area. SPSC will provide a differentiated outpatient delivery model focused on providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for surgical and related ancillary care for patients. SPSC is a multi-specialty 22,298 sq. ft. facility accommodating the following: Ortho, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, General, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, Vascular, and Pain. Experience, Training & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, with documented certification as a nursing assistant
• CNAI certification required; CNA II certification preferred

• At least one (1) year of previous experience in a hospital based or ambulatory surgical center
• Previous experience with medical records and computer skills preferred
