Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The CNA will admit patients to the clinical area, provide pre-operative nursing care, and develop individualized care plans to support safe, efficient procedures.

You will work in a collaborative team, ensure supplies and equipment are ready, document care accurately, assist with doctor orders, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school and CNA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with post-surgical patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to the clinical area and prepare for procedures.
• Provide nursing care and document care in the medical record.
• Implement doctor’s orders in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families, and provide emotional support.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies/procedures.
• Participate in quality assessment activities.
