Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support safe, patient-centered care in the Admissions and PACU areas of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will assist nursing staff with patient preparation and recovery, while reinforcing our commitment to clinical quality and teamwork.

Ideal candidates provide strong communication, attention to details, and the ability to uphold patient safety in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Active CNA certification in Delaware or applicable state.
• BLS certification demonstrated or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, including vital signs, height/weight, and documentation as directed.
• Prepare patients for surgery (gowning, belongings management, comfort measures).
• Provide post-procedure support in PACU under RN direction (monitoring, positioning, hygiene needs).
• Assist with patient discharge processes, including transport and instructions reinforcement.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times.
• Duties as designated.
