Job summary

Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a compassionate CNA for Pine Valley and Pine Valley Assisted Living. Evenings: full- and part-time (2-10pm) with weekend rotation and shift differential.

You will assist with daily hygiene, meals, mobility, and documentation, delivering high-quality resident care. Requirements include completion of the 105-hour Indiana Nurse Aide Training Program and an active CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of the 105-hour Indiana Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing with the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and professionalism in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Support toileting and continence care.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using assistive devices.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration; monitor intake/output.
• Make beds and maintain clean resident rooms.
• Respond to call lights promptly and support daily living needs.

CNA – Pine Valley and Pine Valley Assisted Living

*Evenings: Full- and Part-time (2-10pm) - must be able to work every other weekend > *Shift Differential*

*In-House Pool (IHP) – Minimum of 16 hours per month required!

CNA Responsibilities

• Assist with daily hygiene: bathing, oral care, grooming, skin care, nail/hair care.
• Support toileting and continence care, including perineal hygiene and changing incontinence products.
• Dress/undress residents and assist with mobility, including ambulation, ROM exercises, and using assistive devices.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration; monitor intake/output.
• Make beds, change linens, and maintain clean resident rooms.
• Promptly respond to call lights and provide support with daily living needs.
• Observe and report changes in resident conditions.
• Accurately document care provided and participate in shift hand-offs.

WHAT YOU NEED

Education & Certification

• Completion of the 105-hour Indiana Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent.
• Active CNA certification in good standing with the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry.

Experience

• Previous long-term care or senior living experience preferred, but new grads are welcome.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of medical terminology and elderly care needs.
• Patience, empathy, and professionalism - even in challenging situations.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.

Equipment You’ll Use

• Lifts, bathing equipment, mobility aids, and medical monitoring devices.
• Computers or tablets for charting and documentation.
