Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina Health Chester Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a busy medical-surgical team. You will work under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with patient care, personal needs, and safety.

You may record vitals and help with transportation and nourishment as needed. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and hold a SC CNA certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires CNA certification in SC and current BLS.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CNA/PCT role involves patient care tasks under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and related services.
• Support personal needs: hygiene, dressing, walking, comfort and safety of patients.
• Record temperature or vital signs as directed by a nurse.
