Job summary

ClearSky Health seeks a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to provide direct bedside care under RN supervision in our hospital in the United States. You will perform basic patient care, monitor vitals, and assist with transfers while maintaining a safe, clean environment and upholding infection prevention standards.

The role requires a CNA certification, BLS, and at least 2 years in an inpatient setting; strong communication and teamwork are essential to support patient comfort and healing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming).
• Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, and weights.
• Assist in patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms, beds, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Respond to patient and family calls and requests promptly.
• Document charges for patients using hospital system.

This position must integrate company values into daily practice.Essential Functions:Prioritizes and delivers basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc. Performs and documents vital signs, measures and records intake and output, weights, specimen collections, etc. Transfers patients utilizing proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient to appropriate nursing personnel.Assists in preparing unit, patient rooms, and patient beds for receiving patient admissions. Maintains bed and room in a clean, neat, safe, and comfortable manner. Removes supplies and equipment not in use; placing furnishings and equipment out of the path in order to provide a safe, neat, and organized area.Adheres to patient rounding expectations and standards.Assists in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to aiding in patient comfort and healing.Promptly and appropriately responds to patient and family calls and requests.Appropriately designates applicable charges to individual patients using hospital’s established system.May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.Completes required trainings, as assigned.Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.Minimum Job RequirementsMinimum Education & Experience :High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting required, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation:Current state CNA certification required.BLS certification required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of current clinical operations and procedures.Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate Infection Prevention and proper body mechanics.Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.Demonstrates critical thinking skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection prevention standards.Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift:A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods.Both gross and precise motor functions.Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.Possible exposure to bodily fluids.Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
