Universal Health Services’ Manatee Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to support licensed nurses by providing patient care and helping run the unit. The role includes clerical tasks, stocking, ordering, and transporting as well as direct patient care duties in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements include Florida CNA license and BLS certification, plus a solid educational background (HS diploma to Master’s as applicable).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Patient Care Specialist is responsible and accountable for providing supportive patient care. The Patient Care Specialist assumes the responsibility for facilitating unit operations under the direction of the registered nurse, including clerical work, stocking, ordering, and transporting as well as specified patient care duties.

Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
