Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• CNA license, HHA certification, or PCA training (CT requirement).
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Basic technology skills for shift documentation on a mobile app.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
• Ability to pass background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care routines (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) with dignity.
• Support mobility and transfers; assist with walking and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare nutritious meals, ensure hydration, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders and companionship.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation on a mobile device.
• Report changes to ASQ clinical management team.

$18.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and client complexity)

What You’ll Do

As an Hourly Care Professional, you will work one-on-one with clients in their personal homes, providing essential support that enables them to live safely and independently.

• Assist with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
• Support mobility, safe transfers, walking, and prescribed gentle exercises.
• Prepare nutritious meals, encourage hydration, and perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide timely medication reminders and engaging companionship.
• Follow individualized care plans closely and maintain accurate daily documentation on your mobile device.
• Observe and promptly communicate any physical, mental, or environmental changes to the ASQ clinical management team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance (Required).
• CNA license from any U.S. state, HHA certification, other recognized professional caregiver training, or completion of ASQ’s Empower Training Academy PCA program (CT requirement).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic technology skills for completing required shift documentation on a mobile app.
• Ability to work independently, maintain professional boundaries, and adapt calmly to changing client needs.
• Ability to satisfy all background check, health screening, and onboarding requirements.
• For candidates without formal credentials: Selected Connecticut applicants may complete paid Personal Care Aide (PCA) training through ASQ’s Empower Training Academy in Norwich prior to receiving client assignments.
