Job summary

Visiting Angels CPD, LLC in Georgia is seeking a compassionate CNA or PCA to join our in-home care team, delivering daily living support, health monitoring, and emotional comfort to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

You will work in clients' homes, assist with ADLs, document care using EMR/EHR, and collaborate with caregivers and healthcare professionals to maintain high-quality, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or PCA license required; prior home care preferred.
• Experience with individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medication administration, and HIPAA privacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in assisted living, long-term care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing exceptional support with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional comfort.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and observe patients' health status, accurately recording vital signs and changes in condition.
• Support medication administration and ensure proper documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored memory care techniques.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or PCA license required; prior experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and hospice or palliative care practices.
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
• CPR certification is required; additional training in catheter care or hospice care is a plus.
• Strong patient observation skills combined with compassionate caregiving abilities.
• Experience working within home health or community-based settings is highly desirable.
