Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT is hiring a part-time Patient Care Tech and Health Unit Coordinator for the Same Day Surgery unit. The role supports patient care, coordinates unit activities, and handles clerical duties under RN guidance.

Shifts are days, 18 hours per week, with no weekends or major holidays. Starting pay is $18.40 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within the SDS/PACU teams.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and delivers basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes, feeding, ambulating).
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
• Responds to patient and family requests with excellent service.
• Reports patient data in a timely manner and flags changes in condition.
• Collaborates with RN and team for patient care; follows plan of care.
• Performs non-nursing duties (clerical, stocking, answering phones).
• Transcribes orders and acts as unit receptionist.
