Job summary

The Lifepoint Health CNA position focuses on delivering essential patient care under nursing supervision, supporting comfort and daily living activities. You will assist with bathing, mobility, and basic clinical tasks while ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Ideal candidates have a nursing assistant training completion, current state CNA certification, CPR/BCLS, and at least six months of acute or long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
