Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado, is seeking a part-time nursing support role (PCT/CNA) with a day shift. The position offers a NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $5,000 and opportunities to contribute to patient care in an acute setting while working under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ PCT experience preferred, and BLS/CPCT certifications as listed. Benefits are provided in alignment with AdventHealth policies.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred; bedside patient care in acute care setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required.
• CNA or CPCT/A or NCPCT or PCT-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.

Job Description:

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $5000. TWO - 12-SHIFTS - PART-TIME DAYS

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.
