Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO is hiring for a Part-time Patient Care Technician / CNA role on day shifts. You will perform patient care per policy, assist in emergencies, and work under the RN to support quality standards.

Qualifications include high school diploma, 1+ year PCT experience preferred, and active BLS with CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/PCT-C certification. Benefit details and sign-on bonus are provided.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• 1+ year PCT experience preferred; bedside patient care in acute care unit or equivalent medical experience preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required; CNA/CPCT-A/NCPCT/PCT-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses PPE, handwashing per policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures per department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to RN.
• Assists in identifying patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.
