Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri- Saint Robert is seeking a Certified Nursing Aide (Mental Health Technician) to support youth in a residential treatment setting. You will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote recovery and well-being, on 12-hour day or night shifts.

The role requires a Missouri CNA certification, high school diploma, ability to lift and assist, and a willingness to participate in training for de-escalation and interventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active Missouri CNA certification is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting is preferred.
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is a plus.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient behavior and document observations during assigned shifts.
• Model and teach life skills to promote independent living.
• Escort patients and assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Provide de-escalation and physical intervention if necessary (training provided).
• Monitor and report changes in patients' behavior, mood, and physical condition to the clinical team.
• Assist with ADLs and support nursing for medical needs like feeding and vitals.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Certified Nursing Aide at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri- Saint Robert. In this role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to support the recovery and well-being of individuals struggling with mental health, complex physical conditions and behavioral challenges. This full-time position involves working 12-hour shifts, days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient behavior and document observations during assigned shifts
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to promote independent living
• Escort patients and assist with daily living activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for our patients
• Provide de‑escalation and physical intervention if necessary (training provided)
• Monitor and document patients’ behaviors, moods, and physical conditions, promptly reporting any significant changes to the clinical team.
• Assist clients with ADL’s and work with nursing to provide medical needs such as feeding, vitals, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Certification is required
• Must be 21 years of age
• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting preferred
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is a plus
