Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Health in Saint Robert, MO, is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our Mental Health Technician team at our new residential facility for adolescents. You will work days or nights, providing direct care alongside nurses, therapists, and clinicians in a structured, trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities include building trust with residents, assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, and supporting individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri CNA certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and assist with resident care and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, therapeutic relationships with adolescents.
• Observe, document, and report resident behaviors, moods, and physical conditions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and personal care.
• Obtain vital signs and assist nursing staff with routine medical care.
• Escort residents to meals, school, therapy groups, recreation, and appointments.
• Teach and model healthy coping skills, communication, and daily living skills.
• Maintain a safe, clean, structured, and trauma‑informed environment.
• Utilize verbal de‑escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies (paid training provided).
• Assist with physical interventions only when necessary and according to facility training.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care plans.

What You'll Do

As a Mental Health Technician (CNA), you'll work directly with residents while partnering with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other clinical professionals to provide exceptional care.
