Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Jacksonville, NC, is hiring a Hospice CNA to provide direct patient care to adults in homes or facilities. You’ll perform bathing, peri-care, dressing, and meals, chart in EMR, and support families as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Expect to drive between patient visits, with mileage reimbursed, and coordinate visit times with patients and RN case managers. No prior hospice experience required, but two years in hospice/home health is preferred and a CNA course plus

Hospice CNA
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of CNA course. Must attend 12 hours of in-service training supervised by a Registered Nurse on a rolling 12-month basis. Competency of the CNA is assessed in the home every 14 days. The CNA does not need to be present unless there is an area of concern. Otherwise, an onsite evaluation occurs once a year. Has not had a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aide has not provided services for compensation.
2. Licensure / Certifications: Current certification with State Board of Nursing, or current registration with Department of Facilities Service in the State of North Carolina/ South Carolina.
3. Experience: No prior experience required. Two years experience with hospice, home health or oncology preferred.
