Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at OrthoColorado Hospital. You will support the nursing staff, participate in a collaborative team, and contribute to patient-centered outcomes.

You will be expected to perform routine care, maintain patient records, and respond promptly to patient needs, while upholding professional standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a Nursing Assistant program graduate and CNA licensing.
• Strong patient-care ethic and teamwork abilities are essential.
• High school diploma or GED required; state CNA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Attend to daily needs: comfort, hygiene, nutrition, and safety.
• Respond promptly to call lights and report changes to the RN.
• Document vital signs, inputs/outputs, and weights accurately.
• Maintain confidential patient records and charts.
• Assist with delegated tasks under nurse supervision.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.

• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.

• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse.

• Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.

• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.

• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.

• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.

• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program

• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.

Pay Range

$18.15 - $28.13 /hour
