Job summary

Allpro Staffnet is seeking a compassionate CNA or PCA to join our team in Virginia, serving our veteran population with quality non-medical homecare. Flexible scheduling, top pay, and benefits are offered, with part-time or full-time shifts based on client needs.

You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, transfers, meals, hygiene, and safe mobility, and report any changes to the administrator.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current CNA license or PCA certificate holder.
• Must pass Virginia State Police background check.
• State-required reference checks.
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting.
• Valid driver’s license/state ID and reliable daily transportation.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Housekeeping
• Assists clients with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair or Hoyer Lift
• Assists clients with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Assists clients with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Report on any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan

Duties and Responsibilities May Include (depending on Client Service Plan):

• Offering companionship and emotional support
