RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families by assisting with activities of daily living, attending to individual care needs, and understanding their unique preferences and personalities.
- Notify management of changes in residents’ conditions and recommend adjustments in care and services.
- Assist residents with life skills and participate in life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profiles.
- Incorporate a variety of multi-sensory experiences into residents’ daily routines.
- Participate in the development and updates of Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
- Maintain awareness of residents’ locations and check on them regularly during shifts.
- Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and promote risk management programs and policies.
- Respond to dining needs of residents and guests while upholding Sunrise hospitality standards.
- Encourage and assist residents in life skills and enriching activities as per ISP and demographic profiles.
- Serve our residents and guests in accordance with Principles of Service.
Qualifications:
- Dedication and passion for serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, team-oriented mindset.
- High School diploma/GED required; additional certifications may be required by state regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Ability to make decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
