RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families by assisting with activities of daily living, attending to individual care needs, and understanding their unique preferences and personalities.
  • Notify management of changes in residents’ conditions and recommend adjustments in care and services.
  • Assist residents with life skills and participate in life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profiles.
  • Incorporate a variety of multi-sensory experiences into residents’ daily routines.
  • Participate in the development and updates of Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
  • Maintain awareness of residents’ locations and check on them regularly during shifts.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and promote risk management programs and policies.
  • Respond to dining needs of residents and guests while upholding Sunrise hospitality standards.
  • Encourage and assist residents in life skills and enriching activities as per ISP and demographic profiles.
  • Serve our residents and guests in accordance with Principles of Service.

Qualifications:

  • Dedication and passion for serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, team-oriented mindset.
  • High School diploma/GED required; additional certifications may be required by state regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
