Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Hospice Aide assists with personal care, comfort measures, and supportive services to ensure dignity, comfort, and quality of life for patients.

Position Details

• Location: Wyndmoor, PA
• Role: Inpatient hospice unit (CNA or HHA)

What You’ll Do

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting and incontinence care, oral care, skin care, and repositioning
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility
• Support patient comfort through non-medical interventions (positioning, linen changes, environmental adjustments)
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
• Assist with meal setup and feeding, as appropriate
• Provide emotional support to patients and families with compassion and respect
• Follow infection control, safety, and hospice care protocols
• Document care provided according to facility guidelines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare-related role is preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
