POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be compassionate, patient, and caring
• Fluent in speaking/writing English
• Level 2 Background check required
• Willingness to be drug tested
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, valid registration
• Auto liability insurance with bodily injury coverage
• Ability to test negative for TB in the last year
• Physical ability to work within the last year
• CPR certification within the last two years
• Up-to-date with all state-required CEUs
• Prior experience caring for the senior population required

POSITION DETAILS:

• Assist elderly and disabled with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
• Remind patients to take medications, assist with glucose monitoring, blood pressure, and vitals recording
• Prepare meals, shop, run errands, and transport patients
• Light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc.
• Be professional and passionate about caring for the elderly
• Monitor and assist with nutrition, hydration, exercise, hygiene, and daily needs
• Serve meals and assist with eating and drinking
• Reposition and turn bedridden patients; assist with walking or wheelchair transport
• Maintain clean and sterile rooms, change bedding and bedpans
• Transport medical equipment as needed
• Respond to calls for help with patience and compassion
• Follow state and federal standards (AHCA & HIPAA)
• Exhibit patience, empathy, and compassion
• Maintain high observation and documentation skills
• Communicate effectively, both written and oral
• Work long hours on your feet during extended shifts
