Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Summary
The nursing assistant is a non-professional staff member who provides personal care and assistance to patients under the supervision of the physician and mid-level practitioner(s). Care is provided in accordance with a plan of care prescribed by the physician.

Responsibilities
- Escort patient to exam rooms, take B/P, temperature, record height and weight, note past medical history and complaints, review medications.
- Handle miscellaneous phone calls to patients.
- Refill prescriptions under guidance of physician/mid-level provider.
- File correspondence in patient files/EMR for provider.
- Ensure all dated supplies (samples, medication, vaccinations, etc.) are in date and dispose of outdated supplies.
- Assist physician/mid-level provider with procedures in hospital and here.
- Restock exam rooms with needed supplies.
- Perform venipunctures, EKGs, and drug screens as needed.
- Order supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assume responsibility for following through on delegated duties.
- Clean and package instruments to be sent for sterilization.
- Answer and document all incoming telephone calls.
- Other duties as assigned by physician/mid-level practitioner.
