Job summary

Covenant Health Plainview is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to perform essential patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, on site at Covenant Health Plainview & Center for Outpatient Diabetes Ed. The role is Per Diem / On Call with evening shifts.

Required: Texas Nurse Aide certification and American Heart Association BLS; preferred: 1 year CNA experience. Compensation ranges based on base pay schedule and on-call incentives.

Qualifications

• Texas Nurse Aide certification required at hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Provide care and support on site for obstetrics patients as assigned.

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care by assisting in the treatment and care of patients under the direction of a licensed nurse.

• on call/per diem refers to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an as needed basis to fill in for staff vacancies.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Texas Nurse Aide - Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
