Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The role focuses on daily living activities, basic health care needs, and one-on-one patient support in a 25-bed unit within the Marshfield Clinic system.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (CNA preferred) and must meet state registries. The position offers a competitive pay range ($18–$24/hour) with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients.

Department Details: The Surgical Abdominal/ENT & Palliative Care Unit is located at the Marshfield Clinic, also called 4 North, in Marshfield Wisconsin and is a 25-bed unit with 4 additional Palliative Care designated beds. This unit admits and discharges patients for scheduled diagnostic procedures, tests and surgeries related to the abdomen and Ear Nose and Throat as well as complex wounds. Work with all specialties such as: General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, wound care, Plastics, orthopedics, Palliative Medicine, hematology/oncology, nephrology, ENT, Gastroenterology, hospital medicine & Rehab, etc.
