Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join our Surgical Prep and Recovery Unit. Four 9-hour shifts per week, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 6:30 AM–4:00 PM, day shift.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or Trinity Nursing Assistant Program completed.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience with patient care and basic medical terminology preferred.

Description:

Position Summary & Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is looking to hire a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join our incredible nursing team for our Surgical Prep and Recovery Unit.

Schedule: Four 9hr shifts between Mon-Fri. Hours are from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

What you will do:

You will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.

You will perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.

Preferred Qualification:

• Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Recent experience in an acute care setting and/or working with pediatric patients preferred.
• Knowledge of medical and/or business record keeping.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• Excellent customer services skills.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people under adverse conditions.
• Basic computer skills.
