Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Prep and Recovery Unit. The position is full-time with four 9-hour shifts, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 6:30 AM–4:00 PM.

You will support clinical staff and provide nursing care under a licensed nurse’s supervision. Minimum qualifications include Idaho CNA certification or Trinity Nursing Assistant Program and BLS/HCP.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification Idaho or Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required.
• American Heart Association BLS/HCP certification required.

Position Summary & Highlights:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is looking to hire a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join our incredible nursing team for our Surgical Prep and Recovery Unit.

Schedule: Four 9hr shifts between Mon-Fri. Hours are from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

What you will do:

You will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.

You will perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.

Preferred Qualification:

• Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.

• Recent experience in an acute care setting and/or working with pediatric patients preferred.

• Knowledge of medical and/or business record keeping.

• Medical Terminology preferred.

• Excellent customer services skills.

• Ability to work with a wide variety of people under adverse conditions.

• Basic computer skills.
