Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans and teaches classroom credit courses in the School of Allied Health . To meet the needs of our students, the instructor will be required to teach courses during the day, evening, and weekend hours .
Must possess the ability to teach all phases of the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of Allied Health .
High School Diploma or GED is required . The following current and valid credentials in good standing are required and must be maintained during employment:
All credentials must be provided for copying at the time of interview.
The candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse’s Assistant profession including the relationship to other professions in the medical field.
Three or more years, within the last five of full-time, in-field work experience as a LPN or RN . Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach.
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications and people skills. A flexible work schedule is necessary, as classes may be taught during day , evening, and Saturday periods.
In addition to minimum qualifications, Associates degree or higher from a national or regionally accredited college or university degree .
The following current and valid credentials in good standing are required and must be maintained during employment:
Five or more years, within the last seven of full-time, in-field work experience as a RN . Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach.
Experience in teaching/advising/mentoring college-level students with broad, diverse backgrounds is desired . Knowledge of Blackboard (Learning Management System) is desirable.

The salary range for this position $5 5 ,000 - $60,000, and is determined by relevant education and experience. This is a full-time position with paid state holidays; accrued annual and sick leave; and the State of Georgia Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned
