Job summary

Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New York is seeking caring CNAs to join the team. The facility is newly renovated and offers excellent 1199 SEIU union benefits. Full-Time or Part-Time availability ensures flexibility to support resident care and maintain high standards of service.

The CNA will provide routine daily nursing care, assist with meals and personal hygiene, and help move and position residents. Commitment to quality care and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Holds CNA Certification in New York State that is current & in good standing
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a CNA
• Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents
• Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
• Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
• Trusted to work independently & in a team environment
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established procedures & document care appropriately
• Create & maintain a calm atmosphere throughout the unit/shift
• Prepare residents for meals, serve trays, & assist with feeding as indicated
• Check residents routinely to assure personal care/hygiene needs are met including bathing
• Assist with transportation, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, & transferring residents
• Answer resident calls promptly & report all changes in condition promptly
• Measure & record temperatures, pulse, blood pressures, etc.
