Job summary

The Department of Social Services / Human Services Center in Yankton, SD is seeking a CNA/Mental Health Aide to provide personal care, support patients with mental health and chemical dependency needs, and contribute to a therapeutic, safe environment. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with additional shift differentials and a $3,000 signing incentive.

Eligible applicants must be a certified CNA, able to lift 75 pounds, and pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required for Geriatric program.
• CPR and first aid knowledge.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care services and patient care assignments.
• Support patients with mental health and chemical dependency needs.
• Create an atmosphere conducive to treatment and meet patients' needs.
