Job summary

St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center in Ketchum, ID, is seeking a CNA/Nurse Apprentice for full-time night shifts (three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on the Wood River Medical/Surgical Unit. You will provide direct patient care and support the nursing team in a collaborative clinical environment.

This role offers growth opportunities, shift differentials, and scholarships or educational assistance to support your nursing career goals. Eligible to apply for the sign-on bonus of $5,000.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or ASHI.
  • Current Nurse Apprentice Letter from the State Board of Nursing.
  • Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing (ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA accredited program).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, comfort, and personal care needs.
  • Monitor and document patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Support patient flow and unit operations by performing Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) duties, including communication, coordination, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with nurses, providers, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Float to other departments as needed to support patient care and operational needs.
