Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Medical Surgical Unit in a .9 FTE, day shift role (7:00 AM–7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends). You will support the RN with admissions, discharges, transfers, vital signs, specimen collection, and patient mobility.

Qualifications

Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a high functioning team
Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
Other duties as assigned
