Job summary

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides basic patient care to a group of assigned patients at University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital. Performs patient care tasks in accordance with the standard of care for the patient’s age and condition, prioritizing safety and compassionate service.

Demonstrates teamwork, promotes infection control compliance, and maintains professional relationships with coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant certification required or preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with meals and daily activities.
• Assist with hygiene, positioning, mobility, and basic patient care tasks.
• Provide catheter care, enemas, and treatment support per policy.
• Support infection control and safety standards.
• Document data collection accurately according to hospital standards.
• Provide care with sensitivity to patient rights and privacy.
