Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time night shifts. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties, including clerical and transport tasks.

The role emphasizes Service Excellence and teamwork within a high-quality acute-care setting. Requirements include a CNA certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and current BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification at start date.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; basic computer skills.
• Experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Ability to perform daily living activities and patient care under RN supervision.

Job Overview

Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include, patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

• Provides everyday patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
