Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in a licensed long-term care setting. This full-time position involves 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM every other weekend and rotating holidays, and a strong commitment to resident dignity and quality service.

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida and CPR Certified.
• One year of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting).
• Maintain room hygiene and beds; manage trash and cleanliness.
• Assist with meals and feeding when needed; ensure meals are served on time.
• Take and report vital signs; notify nurse of any condition changes.
• Follow infection prevention and control protocols per federal/state requirements.
• Document promptly in CNA ECS flow-sheet and ensure accurate charting.
• Make rounds to verify safety equipment is in place and functioning.
• Provide incontinent care and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Support Activities Department with resident activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. Preserves residents’ dignity, honors resident’s rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure that safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents that need assistance.
• Assist the Activities Dept with Activities for residents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of Florida and Medical Technician Certified. One year of long-term care experience and must be CPR Certified.
