Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech for our Assisted Living Facility. You will provide routine daily nursing care, support residents’ independence, observe medication self-administration, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with an evening schedule of 3-11 PM and rotation of every other weekend and holidays. CPR and Florida CNA plus Medical Technician Certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida and Medical Technician Certified.
• One year of long-term care experience.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting).
• Ensure beds are made and room hygiene is maintained.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Take vital signs and report changes to nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and control measures.
• Document promptly in CNA ECS flow-sheet.
• Conduct rounds to ensure safety equipment is in place.

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech to work in our Assisted Living Facility. In this role, the Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech Provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by the supervisor. Preserve resident's dignity, honor resident rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately, and adhere to federal and state compliance regulations. Support residents in maintaining independence by observing and documenting self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and safety protocols.

Schedule

Full-Time position, 37.5hrs per week, 3-11 PM every other weekend rotated holidays

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. Preserves residents' dignity, honors resident's rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure that safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents that need assistance.
• Assist the Activities Dept with Activities for residents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of Florida and Medical Technician Certified. One year of long-term care experience and must be CPR Certified.
