Job summary

Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Intermediate Care/Medical Surgical unit. You will assist with feeding, bathing, transferring patients, and documenting vital signs under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The role is 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two-week pay period) with 12-hour day/night shifts, every other weekend, and no travel outside the hospital. This is a unionized, patient-centered environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must complete CNA program or clinical rotations as part of training.
• Completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program or equivalent.
• Experience in direct patient care and ability to assist RN.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care under RN supervision.
• Performs personal care: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Transports patients and changes linens as needed.
• Records vital signs and health observations accurately.
• Responds to patient call lights promptly and safely.
