Providence Seward Medical Ctr-Seward is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support RN-led patient care in a safe, clean environment. Under supervision, you’ll contribute to a patient/resident focused team, with strong communication to meet needs during shifts.

Training in Caring Reliably, Dining Assistance, and ServSafe is expected within four months. Minimum qualifications include completion of CNA training and Alaska CNA license; BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient/resident, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient/resident through the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient/resident focused care

Nursing services delivered by the CNA under the scope of their practice are supervised by and report to the licensed nurses.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.
• Coursework/Training: Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.
