Job summary

BrightStar Care of North Miami & Miami Beach is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care to seniors in the Miami-Dade area. You will assist with personal care, mobility, errands, and companionship, helping clients stay comfortably at home.

We offer flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, weekends), competitive pay of $15–$17/hour, weekly direct deposit, and opportunities for career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Florida CNA certification in good standing is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and auto insurance preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge and compliant handling of client information.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility.
• Accompany clients to errands, appointments, and outings.
• Provide companionship and support to maintain independence.

What You’ll Do

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you’ll provide compassionate, dependable support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, pharmacies, and other outings
• Assist clients with active and passive mobility exercises according to their plan of careObserve and report changes in a client’s condition to the Director of Nursing
• Provide companionship and day-to-day assistance while helping clients maintain their independence

What You’ll Need

• Valid Florida CNA certification/license in good standing
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid CPR certification
• Physical and negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Successful completion of required drug screening and motor vehicle background screening
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
